Geisha Tutorial!!!!!

I recently watched the movie Memoirs of a Geisha and thought it would be fun to do a geisha makeup tutorial with Halloween being just right around the corner. So here it is!!!

My New Favorite YouTube Guru!

I didn't really realize I wanted to be a makeup artist until I stumbled across Kandee Johnson on YouTube one day.


I was searching for a tutorial on how to do Pin-Up hairstyles and I found her. I am sooooo glad I did! She is such an inspiration to me, she is an amazing makeup artist, and is so positive and upbeat ...I just love watching her videos. I suggest watching her latest video on "How To Survive A Bad Day" .


Now watching YouTube gurus is an obsession of mine... I love learning stuff! I love watching other people and how they do things, I always learn something from each video I watch.

I stumbled upon a new Guru who I LOVE LOVE LOVE! She is so funny, pretty and awesome!!! Her name is Jarmaine Santiago and she goes by JLovesMac1 on YouTube.

Definitely check her out you will laugh and laugh and learn all sorts of fun stuff!

Oh the fun you can have with makeup!

Sometimes I wonder what I would do without makeup.... seriously! I love makeup and have loved makeup since my 5th birthday where I got my first lip gloss as a present from a neighbor.


They were Bonne Bell lip glosses that were super tiny and one was pink and tasted like cherry and the other was purple and tasted like grapes! They were very tinted lip glosses so I thought I was so cool to have red and purple lips hahaha. I was pretty lucky to have a Mom who let me experiment with makeup at a young age. She would buy me my own lipstick and mascara and let me wear it when I was around 7 or 8. I never was taught how to do makeup I just kind of did it on my own and figured things out as I went.

It didn't click in my head until a few years back that makeup was something I had a passion for and wanted to make my career. As a child I dreamed of being a big CEO of some company and wear business suits ....now I would never ever want that in a million years! I love what I do, I get to make people feel good about themselves, I get to express my creative side and I get to work when I want to!


I am blessed to have found my passion in life because I know that there are many people who are still soul searching. My advice is ask yourself what is one thing I have been passionate about most of my life.... I guarantee you will get an answer.

I am a HUGE fan of Jersey Shore, it is the only show I consistantly watch every week. I make sure I am in front of my tv at 10pm every Thursday to watch all the craziness go down.

Since I am such a HUGE fan I've decided to be Snooki for Halloween! I myself have been rocking the famous Snooki "poof" for about 6 years now, and I even used to do my eye makeup like hers everyday so I decided to do a simple tutorial on how to get her fabulous look.

Makeup Must Haves!!!!!

Almost every woman has beauty products that they consider "must haves", or products they simply cannot live without. Here are a few of my faves!

#1. Benefit - Erase Paste

I could not live without this product!!! If you're like me and have dark circles no matter what you do just dab a little of this miracle concealer on and voila! you look like you've slept for days!



#2. E.L.F. - Mineral Foundation

I absolutely LOVE this mineral foundation! It's silky smooth and lightweight, it doesn't even feel like you are wearing foundation. Not only does it cover up little imperfections but it only costs $5!!!!


#3. MAC Fix+


Want your makeup to stay on all day and night long? Just spray a few spritz of this on your face and your makeup will last and last! Its lightly fragranced with a fresh scent and doesn't feel sticky like some other setting sprays.

#4. Being True Cosmetics - Eye Shadow

I love eye shadow that is highly pigmented and also feels lightweight on my eyes. Being True Cosmetics makes a great line of eyeshadows that are made from rich mineral pigments that are both are both non-comedogenic and hypo-allergenic. I especially love the color Zinc.

#5. Rock & Republic - Lip Gloss

I cannot get enough of this lip gloss! I am a total lipgloss addict and Rock & Republic makes just what I need for my fix. My favorite shade is Train Wreck, it's super sexy with just the right amount of shimmer.

First Post Yay!!!!

Yay! I am so excited to start a beauty blog! I've been wanting to for such a long time but haven't gotten around to it.

I am also going to start doing YouTube tutorials :) ....I think my first one will be some fall inspired looks. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, I love to watch the leaves turn colors, I love the feeling of the cool air on my skin, I love the fun classy clothing, and most of all I love being able to cuddle up at home with the ones I love the most drinking apple cider and watching movies!

I've also been inspired to do some looks from 2010 Fashion Week and of course my favorite holiday of all Halloween!!!
